Travel via the Trans Kalahari Highway to Ghanzi also known as “The capital of the Kalahari”. Situated in west-central Botswana, Ghanzi possesses an intriguing enthralment with natural beauty such as unexpected varied terrain, peculiar yet breathtaking sunsets, and desert skies filled with overwhelming stars. The primarily farming community is a conglomeration of diverse ethnic groups which includes Bushmen “San”, Bakgalagadi, Baherero, Batawana, and Afrikaaners. Within the town is a filling station, the only available fill-up point for many kilometres en-route to the Okavango Delta, a few shopping centres, informal restaurants, and superb lodgings. The peace of the desert is Ghanzi’s music, but several lodges and hotel bar in town provides entertainment. Ghanzi accommodation... Show more
About Cottages
Guests escape the noise and bustle of lodges by opting to stay in either fully self-catering or bed and breakfast cottages. Self-catering cottages are a home away from home and come fully equipped with everything guests need. Most self catering cottages also come with a cleaning service, Dstv, and a private patio/entertainment area. Guests who opt for bed and breakfast cottages enjoy their own private patio/entertainment area, luxury amenities, Dstv, and cleaning service. There is often a small kitchenette, if guests wish to do a little cooking, and a relaxing lounge area. Cottages are ideal for families, small groups of friends and couples wishing for a more private retreat.
