Enveloped by sugar cane ranches and estates, Simunye Swaziland nestles within the lowveld region where agriculture plays a big part in the economic infrastructure. The spectacular Hlane National Park is home to the Big Five and is just minutes from Simunye. Go on guided game drives in semi-open Land Rovers, mountain bike the trails, partake in guided bush walks, or find a spot near a water hole to watch the game vie for a place. Have a picnic or sundowners whilst watching the jaw-dropping sunsets set the African skies ablaze. Hike the Simunye Nature Reserve adjoining Mlawula and Mbuluzi Nature Reserves where fantastic bird watching opportunity exits. Walk the well-marked trails along the Mlawula River, or a trip to the marabou stork nesting site is really worthwhile. Simunye is peaceful and surrounded by picturesque landscapes, a wonderful escape to relax in a welcoming atmosphere while unearthing the treasures of the lowveld.
