A retreat close to the mountains, perfect stopover on your way to the Garden Route, Oudtshoorn or Cape Town. Close to the magnificent Tradouw's Pass and the Route 62. Away from the noise of the main road. To relax and recharge your batteries with! Aanhuizen has 10 rooms, all elegantly furnished with luxury linen. All rooms have their own entrances and en-suite bathrooms, tea/coffee facilities, TV, ceiling fans and heaters. Big swimming pool, trampoline to stay fit and just enjoy and relax taking in the view of the Langeberg mountain range. The area has spectacular natural beauty. Walking trails in the mountain and surroundings, birdwatching, mountain biking and horse riding.

Area Information:Swellendam is the 3rd oldest town in South Africa. Enjoy the quant old buildings, museum and our wonderful artists that have all choosen to take up residence in Swellendam. The area has spectacular natural beauty. Walking trails in the mountain and surrouindings, birdwatching, mountain biking and horse riding. Visit the Bonnievale wine route, De Hoop Nature reserves with its spectacular dunes and wales in season or go to Cape L' Agulas, the southern most tip of Africa were the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet. Do brandy tasting at Barrydale and ride the Tradouw Pass.

Room was clean and neat and the view of the mountains was magnificent. Would definitely recommend staying at Euthanize.

Tom, the host and his family are lovely people. The rooms were very tastefully decorated and very comfortable. It was so peaceful and tranquil in the area we were staying, just the sound of nature and wildlife. And our children and fur babies loved the pool. It was truly a wonderful stay and we will definitely return there.

I enjoyed Aan De Eike Guesthouse, My room were clean and the service were excellent.I felt very safe enjoyed every moment since I arrived. Swellendam is beautiful with most beautiful views. The location was very convenient and would recommend The Republican Restaurant. The food and vibe were awesome. It's safe to walk in Swellendam, what a beautiful place for entertainment

Scenery, the residents, the roads are in great condition (compared to many many many other towns/cities in SA).
Wildebraam Estate. Friendly people. No traffic. Has all the shops and places one needs.
