Restaurant:
Meals are catered for by the Restaurant and Pub which overlooks the Indian Ocean. The Restaurant is open from 07h00 till 11h00 for breakfast and pub lunches are served throughout the day. Dinner is served from an a la Carte menu from 19h00 till 21h45. A kiddies menu is available for our smaller guests. A very popular addition recently is our modern banting (Paleo) menu. Ask your waiter for more detail.

Scuba Diving:
Rated amongst the top 10 scuba diving spots in the world, Sodwana’s amazing reefs offer warm clean and colourful experiences with a huge species diversity. The Maputaland reefs are the most southerly coral reefs in Africa and owe their existence to clear warm water carried southward by the subtropical Agulhas Current and the absence of silt-carrying rivers discharging into the region. These sandstone outcrops are the remnants of ancient dunes and beaches that were fossilised during a low sea level about 80,000 years ago. Please note: As from 1 October 2009, every diver diving in the MPA (Marine Protected Area) of Sodwana Bay needs to be in possession of a valid divers licence. The licence costs R85.00 p/a and is available from any post office in the country as well as from the Sodwana Bay Parks Board offices during office hours (08h00 – 16h30) and must be available for inspection prior to your dives.

Fishing:
South Africa’s premier fishing spot, boasting year round fishing for game fish such as blue and black marlin, sail fish, yellow fin tuna, Dorado, Mackerel and Wahoo. The rock and surf fishing in Sodwana is superb with the giant kingfish being first prize. A friend of mine caught a forty nine kilogram giant kingfish from the beach in front of Mseni lodge. Bottom fish may be targeted by the rock and surf brigade with only rock cod and bass protected. A fishermen’s paradise indeed. Speciality drop shot fishing areas provide non stop action for the angler who could have fought and released a huge Sangora, Amberjack or even the mighty Dog Tooth Tuna.

Other Activities:
Sodwana Bay’s rich bird life is well known. Walk amongst lush trails or sit in the bar – you are guaranteed to see a huge diversity of bird life. Many Game Reserves are within a day trip – plan and drive your own or book a guided tour. Climb some of the highest dunes in the world or go by horse. Many other activities are available and the staff in the office will be able to assist you.
