Ou Skool Guest House was initially an old school which was closed down due to lack of funding during the early 70's. Entrepreneurial owner, Ilse-Marie Rossouw identified the property as a great location for an upmarket guest house.
The guest house offers the warmest hospitality, outstanding air-conditioned accommodation, conference facilities for up to 12 delegates including full catering in addition to events facilities for private functions and weddings.
In Room Facilities:We offer a range of accommodation that includes a choice of 10 bedrooms, 4 Self catering units as well as 4 family rooms is available and camping site with private ablution facilities. We are pet friendly and wheelchair friendly.
There are also safe parking.
The rooms are equipped with individually remote controlled air-conditioning, TV with DSTV, suite bath or shower and coffee/tea facilities. We also have a wheelchair friendly room and are also pet friendly.
Area Information:Ou Skool Guest House was renovated , 2008, from a block of flats which use to be an a old Primary School and closed down in the early seventies due to a lack of kids and funding. Ou Skool Guesthouse is a convenient stop over or holiday base for the tourist, nature lover, businessmen and travellers alike on the route to the Kalahari, Augrabies falls, Riemvasmaak, Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and the West Coast.
Set amongst luscious vine yard in the heart of the Northern cape, our stylish decorated establishment guarantees a comfortable stay. Ou Skool Guesthouse is situated just 5 km outside og Keimoes en route to Kenhardt.

World War 1 War Memorial - The battle of Kakamas took place in 1915 and consisted of 3 skirmishes between German and Allied Forces. A memorial marks the location of the battle.

Lovely, peaceful stay. Neat and homely.
Very clean and spacious. We slept in Houtwerkklas. We appreciated the complimentary bottle of water. A small fridge, kettle, coffee and tea were also supplied. Overall a pleasant stay.
Always a pleasure to stay here - our 3rd visit to Ou Skool. Lovely gardens to enjoy - outside tables where you can have dinner or just enjoy a glass of wine. Staff friendly. Rooms and bathroom very clean. Highly reccommended
A wonderful experience. Gabi was so helpful and welcoming. She went to a great deal of effort to make sure that we had everything that we needed and were comfortable. The home cooked dinners were absolutely delicious and amazing value for money. Breakfast was fantastic. The honesty bar was a great touch with a wonderful selection.
Centrally located. Staff very friendly, very well located. We loved the lawn and braai areas. It did mean we could do a nice braai the one evening, sitting outside and enjoying the scenery.

Die verrassing langs die pad! Tkabies is skoon en pragtig. Als en meer wat ons nodig gehad het. Dorien het heerlike vars roosterkoeke met tuisgemaakte druiwe konfyt te koop gehad. Ons was ook bevoorreg om met ons terugkeer weer daar te kon tuisgaan waar sy ons gesê het hul slag en ons kon reël vir 'n heerlike gemarineerde Lams ribbetjie wat ons self kon braai, weer met heerlike roosterkoeke. Glasie wyn, son wat sak oor die druiwe wingerd terwyl die sproeiers fyn sproei uitspuit....... Bàie dankie, ons sal dit nie vergeet nie!
