Green Point is a popular leisure district dominated by its namesake park, with lakes, jogging trails, a hedge maze and a biodiversity garden planted with indigenous flora. The park is also home to Cape Town Stadium, a sleek sports and concert venue with tours. Espresso bars, Italian restaurants and burger joints line Main Road, and there are steakhouses and fish eateries along nearby Sea Point Promenade.

Die Unterkunft ist zentral gelegen, so dass viele Ziele im Stadtzentrum zu Fuß erreichbar sind. Haltestellen des Stadtbusses sind in der Nähe. Für Gäste die längere Zeit oder öfter in Kapstadt sind, lohnt sich der Kauf einer Guthabenkarte für MyCitiBus an der Endstation Waterfront.
PKW parken auf der Straße, nachts ist ein patrouilliert ein Sicherheitsdienst.
Die Unterkunft befindet sich in einem alten, viktorianischen Haus in Berglage von Green Point. Für Kapstädter Verhältnisse ist der Preis pro Zimmer und Nacht inklusive Frühstück niedrig.
Unser Raum war klein, aber gut ausgestattet. Sauberkeit war vorbildlich, Matratzen und Zudecken ebenfalls. Es gab nachts keine störenden Geräusche aus dem Haus oder von der Straße.
Die Nutzung des allgemeinen Aufenthaltsraumes und der Küche mit sämtlichen Utensilien war möglich, darauf wurde bei Ankunft auch hingewiesen. Das Frühstück kann aus umfangreichem Angebot selbst zusammengestellt werden.
Die Kommunikation mit dem sehr freundlichen und jederzeit hilfsbereiten "Chef" empfanden wir als hilfreich und angenehm. Das Personal war ebenso freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Sollten wir noch einmal nach Kapstadt kommen, würden wir die Altona Lodge wieder wählen.

Easy access to everything, and many things only walking distance around to enjoy, including the promenade, Green Point Park, Virgin Active gym, V&A water front, Cape Town stadium, Long street and the Green Market square. also many great restaurants and coffee shops near by.
Best sleep I have had at a backpackers in years. Decor and staff are notably excellent. I will be back.
