The main camp at Thakadu River Camp is located between the Marico River and a small tributary of the Marico. Our main lodge accommodation in Madikwe is made up of an open plan lounge, dining and reception area, with the pool and bar area. Guests staying at this luxury accommodation in Madikwe may enjoy the lush views of the gully and river to the north.
The lodges have been made out of wood and closely resemble the softness of nature. A traditional lapa falls within a glade of natural riverine forest and is the perfect space to enjoy the panoramic views that surround you.

We really enjoyed our one night stay wish we could stay another night. The house was neat and we really felt at home. Though it was cold we didn't feel it we made fire and the indoor braai. Kids really enjoyed the electric blankets and the oil heater.
We had a lovely time.
