Blyde River Cabins offer exclusive luxury self-catering log cabins with private river view decks on the banks of the Blyde River (Limpopo Province, South Africa). A nature lover's dream situated
on the fringe of a critically endangered azonal forest type known as Lowveld Riverine Forest.
The cabins are fully equipped for self-catering, sleeps four to six pax (two or three bedroom units). The units have self-contained bathrooms, DSTV, air conditioners, private braai (BBQ) boma and Wifi. Some units have a private jacuzzi on the deck.
Area Information:The guesthouse is in a wildlife area and forms part of both the Blyde-Olifants Conservancy and Kruger to
Canyons Biosphere Reserve (which straddles the boundary between Mpumalanga and Limpopo
Provinces) thus making the setting that much more phenomenal. Hoedspruit is the closest town
approximately 20km (35min drive) by road. When booking you will have exclusive use of your cabin thus enabling you to
relax and enjoy total privacy and in the beauty of the bush that abounds.
Secure undercover parking, private braai (BBQ) boma, a jungle gym and sand pit. Children of all ages are welcome but please remember the cabins are not fenced and wild animals traverse the surrounding area. From the deck overlooking the river you can relax and admire your surroundings or
scan the bush in search of the endangered and elusive Pels Fishing owl or other resident fauna
surrounding the cabins. Hippo, crocodile, bushbabies, chacma baboon, waterbuck, kudu,
impala, warthog, and spotted hyaena have all been seen from the deck with signs (audio and tracks)
of other more elusive creatures (leopard, Pels Fishing owl, and wood owl) ever present.
We offer the following onsite activities: birding, bush walks, game drives, fishing, photographic safaris, and children's bush activities (Wild Child Bush School). The property is well situated for easy access to a myriad of other activities available in the area (a
full list is available in the reception or alternatively contact us for the list) and is a mere stone's
throw away from the world-renowned Kruger National Park. There are over 60 different activities in
the surrounding area including day trips to Kruger National Park, abseiling, white water rafting,
elephant back safaris, hot air ballooning, helicopter flips, boat trips, swimming under a waterfall,
wildlife rehabilitation centers and more.
Come and enjoy a memorable holiday, relax under the large trees in a hammock, have some alone
time in the silence that abounds or sits around the fire in the evening and relate stories from another
fun-filled day in the African bush.

The nature.
Morokologa game reserve, we spend our Christmas at the camp and we had a beautiful game drive and morning walks with my grandmother. Played games and reconnected as a family.
Most of Gold cabins- the weather - the sound of the birds-
Since we have family and old colleagues in Hoedspruit we enjoy everything. Love going to Hoedspruit for a weekend break away.
The quietness.
It’s a beautiful town which is easily accessible and has all the convenient shopping around the lodges nearby and one is able to do various activities around the area.
Privacy!
The town is very small yet beautiful and neat. It has lots of tourist attractions and good place to visit, just to unwind!
