The guest house is situated in the centre of Colesberg, in a quiet one-way street which runs parallel to the main road. The adjacent English-style Horse and Mill Pub and Restaurant is a beautifully restored coach house, built in 1840. Here you can quench your thirst with pint draft and feast on a wide variety of dishes in this nearby restaurant.

Our stay at horse and mill was outstanding
Awesome shower, bedding comfortable and clean.
Cutlery and crockery was a disappointment as there was not enough for a 6 sleeper.
Overall a good stay for a 1 night stay in Colesberg.
Accommodation was very clean and we lacked for nothing. Even though the day time temperature on arrival was 39 degrees. We slept very comfortably with the air conditioning.
We enjoyed our stay, the host was friendly and accommodating.
Basic but clean, yet at such a reasonable rate its perfect for an overnight stay.

Easy access from the highway
Beautiful surroundings
Well positioned between Gauteng and the Cape Coast
The beautiful accommodation and their cleanliness.
Colesberg the town has really gone down, rubbish everywhere, dirty and dusty. However as we stayed in the wonderful lodge outside of the town, we will overnight again in the area, as it is in the middle of Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Friendly people and just the right distance from Gauteng to take a break.
Spectacular view of animals and the mountains.
The roads are in great condition, we did not go into the town.
