Salt Rock Lodge overlooks the world-famous surf break, The Point with spectacular views of the bay, lagoon and mountains, providing the setting for a comfortable and relaxing stay in Jeffreys Bay.
The lodge offers various accommodation options, including two self-contained self-catering flats and the main middle section.
The middle section shares the same access as the owners. Offering a large living area with pool table and table tennis for family fun. Sit next to the indoor braai/bbq gazing over the incomparable panoramic views - the beaches and ocean of our spectacular Bay. Enjoy the schools of dolphins playing in the surf or the migrating whales and their calves (Sep-Dec) and, in the evenings, the glistening crescents of bobbing lights from the calamari fishing boats illuminated like a tiny floating village.
Adjacent to the lounge is the open plan, fully equipped kitchen and scullery with everything necessary for your self-catering needs.
The main double bedroom has its own balcony providing views of the African sunrises over the Indian Ocean. Two other double bedrooms also have ocean views and balconies. At the rear of the house is a small contained back garden.
The pet-friendly ground floor flat (named after surfing legend, Shorty Bronkhorst, who loved staying here) offers a double bedroom, living area with fully-equipped kitchen, a sleeper couch which converts into either a king-size bed or two singles and modern bathroom with spacious walk-in shower, TV and free wi-fi. The flat has an enclosed courtyard with braai and picnic table.
Awake to stunning sunrise views from the top floor flat. Access is gained from a separate entrance at the side of the house. The flat has a kitchenette fully equipped for your self-catering needs, double bunk beds and a main living room with double bed. Smart TV and free wi-fi. Relax on the verandah around the braai overlooking the bay, lagoon and mountains.
It's a five minute stroll to the beach and a five minute car journey to the local shopping area, where there are supermarkets, a liquor store, restaurants, craft breweries, surf shops and petrol station. Rated the the right-hand point break in the world, JBay offers many other activities other than surfing ( we offer surf board rental) and kite-surfing: fishing, sky diving, mountain bike trails, enduro training and tours can be arranged, running trails, deep sea fishing, beach horse rides and so much more. A wide variety of surf clothing factory shops for the bargain hunters, a selection of superb restaurants and craft breweries for the foodies. Situated close to game farms for those wanting to see the Big 5.
We have surf-boards available for rental and are able to organise enduro tours.

What a wonderful find! A friendly welcome from the owners who made us and our dogs feel right at home. Great to find pet-friendly accommodation and so close to everything. Clean, comfortable with the most incredible views. Awoke to the sound of the ocean and the most spectacular golden sunrise over the bay. We will definitely be back.

We stayed at Surfstar the views were incredible and the pool was sparkling. We could walk to the beach and had an amazing meal at Nina’s restaurant.
We will definitely be back.
The suburb Wavecrest is very peaceful and safe with great restaurants nearby. We stayed at Tecoma 38 at JBay and would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone as it is almost on the beach(50m) but also got a pool and could accommodate our whole group of 14 people. The interior is beautiful. Will definitely book again.
