Our accommodation is private, self catering & fully equipped; ready for you to cook indoors or braai outdoors. We've even got the plates, cutlery, towels & bedding! Just bring your food, your sunscreen & yourselves(!).Optional extras to bring include- your mountain bike, your strong shoes, your swimwear, your camera & perhaps your favourite slippers(!) because you're going to have a wonderful stay with us, doing as much or as little as you wish.
We highly recommend that you bring your stress too, just so that you can leave it behind at the end of your stay!
In Room Facilities:Bring the family & have a fun time in our self-catering accomodation. All the self-catering units have indoor fireplaces and private outdoor braai areas and equipped kitchenettes. Relax on the balconies watching the views, relax around the indoor fireplace.
Open plan Pear Tree Cottage has a double bed & two bench beds. There is a shower-bathroom. The views are of the dam and orchards. Just bring yourselves & your stresses to be soothed by our farm atmosphere. If you forget something, we have a shop on site for basic provisions.

Slumber beneath a cosmic blanket of twinkling stars, near a natural dam, in a sheltered & shady spot, overlooked by the Langerberg Mountains. Enjoy a braai breakfast on your private brick braai then refresh yourself with a hot shower in our Lapa style, communal cottage where you can make new friends while you wash your dishes. Or just sit & relax, chatting with your new friends while you enjoy an indoor braai.
Area Information:We are a working Fruit Farm & Mountain Retreat in the Langeberg Mounains, 38km from historic town of Montagu, on the R318 'Fruit Route'. 20 minutes from the famous hot springs & the famous Breederiver Wine tasting route and Brandy Route. Montagu is famous for dried fruit and nuts.

There are wonderful walks through the fruit orchards with wonderful views over the Koo valley.
Meet our semi tame duck, geese, chickens, peacocks & turkeys.
Spend time at the dam relaxing, swimming, watching the birds. There are wonderful mountain biking trails.
Swim in your choice of two natural mountain water dams or a solar mountain water dam (or all three!) Tackle a mountain bike trail (bring your own bikes!) or hike up a Langeberg Mountain, if you dare!
We are the perfect place for star-gazing at night.

Ons was baie bevoorreg om vir n paar dae by Langdam tuis te gaan. Die ontvangs, netheid, geriewe was puik. Word beslis aan beveel. Met my Verjaarsdag oggend het die vriendelike chef vir my n heerlike wortelkoek gebak. Absoluut finominaal gewees. Omgewing asemrowende natuur skoon. Baie vriendelike en hulpvaardige diens gekry. Sal beslis weer gaan kuier.
A warm welcome to this picture perfect place. Well equipped and clean, beautiful all over. Highly recommended.
Peaceful
This past weekend was our second visit to Langdam Guest Farm and we will continue to return in future.
Previously we were a group of friends who spent the weekend - it is a great place to breakaway from city life and routine. We stayed in Apple Cabin, which was a great for a group of us and we felt private / isolated from anyone else on the farm. The views all around the farm are spectacular.
For our second visit we were only a couple and stayed in Pear Tree Cottage. This is closest to the dam. Instantly felt relaxed arriving back at the farm.
Looking forward to another visit in the near future. Highly recommended to all who are looking for some downtime and some beautiful scenery.
We stayed in the Apple cottage. 2 couples and 2 kids. We all had enough room and enjoyed everything the house could offer.
Only improvement I would suggest is that fire wood / braai wood should be provided, not bought. The beds were the most soft and comfortable experience. Ensured for good sleeping and nice afternoon naps. All the farm animals was a great joy to the kids. Having tea and cake by the dam with Lapa facilities was very enjoyable. The morning jog's on the farm roads, with all the fresh air, were also very exhilarating.
We've visited Langdam this weekend and had a superb time. There was a mess-up with our booking, but instead of just pulling up their shoulders, the owners went out of their way to fix it. Everyone makes a mistake from time to time, how you handle the situation says a lot about you. The units are beautifully decorated, well equipped and has everything you need. The communal braai area make this a great place for groups of friends that want to go away for the weekend. We will definitely be back!

The tranquility, historical few places, cleanliness and friendly inhabitants.
Came up to Montagu for a climbing course with Blue Mountain Adventures and stayed at the Tolhuis with two friends. It was just perfect. Firstly the location, it was only mere meters away from our first day's location for climbing , LEGOLAND. We could literally stop and walk up to our accommodation for a coffee and lunch break! The place itself was just perfect for the 3 of us. Great little braai area where we enjoyed our evenings and the place is simple and humble yet stylish! The hosts, Michelle, Ivan, and Jason their 6-month-old puppy were just very warm and accommodating. Thank you!
