AfriCamps Addo boasts eight boutique glamping tents overlooking rolling green hills at the heart of adventure in Addo. Located on the beautiful Hayterdale Trails property at the foothill of the Zuurberg Mountains, the camp offers easy access to 50 km of scenic mountain biking, trail running, and hiking routes through Yellowwood forests and across rolling hills of valley bushveld dotted with ancient cycads. Spot over 160 bird species, and even catch of sable, and nyala in the property’s conservancy.
The AfriCamps boutique glamping experience is perfect for families, couples, and close friends to get closer to nature while enjoying all of life's little luxuries. Our custom-made tents are fully furnished and equipped for five guests with a private kitchen, lounge, en-suite bathroom (with private shower and toilet), two comfy bedrooms with extra-length queen-size beds, a fireplace, ceiling fans and an L-shaped wooden deck.

In Room Facilities:Each AfriCamps tent consists of an outdoor wood-fired hot tub or splash pool, a spacious open plan lounge area with a comfortable couch, a dining area with a solid wooden table and seating for five guests, a fully-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms that comfortably sleeps five guests, and a bathroom complete with hot shower, flushing toilet and washbasin.
Both bedrooms are furnished with an extra-length queen-size bed and have their own private entrance which allows maximum privacy. One of the bedrooms also contains a single bunk bed. Our tents are equipped with an indoor fireplace and ceiling fans. To take full advantage of the stunning views at AfriCamps Addo, the tents sport a spacious L-shaped deck and five expansive canvas panels that offer guests an immersive outdoor experience with unparalleled views of the natural surroundings. Enjoy a braai on our spacious wooden decks and take in the views from the comfortable deck loungers. Pull up the front and side covers and transform the tent into a large outdoor living area. Unwind and appreciate a festive family breakfast while taking in the serene natural beauty of the South African landscape.

Property Facilities:Explore 50 km of mountain bike trails against the backdrop of the picturesque Zuurberg Mountains. Our routes cover diverse terrain including marathon trails, cross-country tracks, and gravel jeep tracks. Our trail running and hiking routes lead to the more secluded corners of the property. Enjoy the stunning views of the orchards, Addo Elephant National Park, and Nelson Mandela Bay from the summit of Zuurberg pass or GZT bridge. Bring your birding guide and binoculars! The lush valley thicket at the base of the Zuurberg Mountains is the perfect setting for birdwatching enthusiasts, boasting a diverse range of over 160 bird species. Visit our conservancy, a unique opportunity to witness the beauty of the natural world. Here, spot small and large free-roaming game, from delicate butterflies and curious sables to elegant giraffes and nyala.

Great experience
We had a lovely time, although wet and cold, still lovely to be there. Was just a pity that the there are always elements at these places ignoring the rules and play hard music and scream and shout. That was unpleasant.
Lovely glamping experience. Very well equipped and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Easy access to Addo and surrounds.

The quad biking and river safari.
Addo elephants are an experience not to be missed.
I loved the safe roads and the animals, especially the elephants.I also liked the nice shop to buy memorabilia.I also stayed close by at Avoca and this was five star treatment.I loved the tranquility and good host Riaan.
What an amazing haven to unwind and relax. Everything is Eco friendly and the staff are living examples of this. All the food was organic and delicious. The rooms are clean and comfy, The natural pool was beautiful and the location is close to the Addo Elephant National Park. We would definitely come back! Thank you for our amazing stay🙏
Beautiful scenery and very peaceful.
The animals are not scared of the vehicles travelling near them. We experienced some real magic moments in Addo.
