The primarily farming community is a conglomeration of diverse ethnic groups which includes Bushmen “San”, Bakgalagadi, Baherero, Batawana, and Afrikaaners. Within the town is a filling station, the only available fill-up point for many kilometres en-route to the Okavango Delta, a few shopping centres, informal restaurants, and superb lodgings.
